83-84 ONLY 22R Complete Timing Kit w/ STEEL GUIDE (gaskets and seals not included but they are available) This kit has the correct pieces for the 1983 -84 models which used a single row 98 link chain.
This item is from Preferred Components Inc.. It is a quality kit that has the upgrade straight steel chain guide which will protect your timing cover right at the cooling system passage to the water pump. All timing chains will stretch with alot of miles but there is no reason to damage the timing cover when that happens. The 83-84 timing cover is now available as a new aftermarket replacement piece but this kit is one-third the price of the new timing cover! Order gaskets separately !
